Califon’s Main Street shops are worth a visit even on a Sunday afternoon

Downtown Califon is not in full flower on Sunday afternoons, but several Main Street businesses were open yesterday and offering things you aren’t going to find just anywhere.

BEX Eatery and Catering Co., which was recently featured on the website Jersey Bites, is owned by Becky Geisel. It specializes in stylish and inventive food you probably don’t get at home.

Jersey Bites wrote: “BEX is all about simple, fresh, whole food and everything from their vinaigrettes to their roasted meats is sourced as locally and seasonally as possible and made on site. With a whole-food philosophy, their menu is simple and mouth-wateringly delicious.”
